Lavender is a cross-modal musical performance that celebrates how experience shapes and guides us—the feeling of soft linen, the slam of a door, a party, an ending, the smell of a perfume. In this multi-sensory work, customized refreshments, soundscapes, cinematic projections, and a “Sensory Program” provide a backdrop to mirrored pairs of performers—Harrer on harp/vocals/electronics with cellist Jesse Christeson, complimented by dancers Kristin Wagner and Tony Guglietti. Projections by cinematographer Michael Pessah.
